iTunes & Live Nation bring live music concerts

Apple has setup a partnership with Live Nation, a concert promoter to launch a new live music program that offers exclusive recorded and filmed concerts.



The Live Nation Studios division records concerts in more than 80 venues that have been dubbed "next-generation wired live recording studios". Annually Live Nation produces over 22,000 concerts for 1,600 artists in 33 countries. During 2008, the company sold over 50 million concert tickets and has had over 70 million unique visitors to LiveNation.com.



As part of this tie-up Live Nation will offer its live recordings and filmed concerts from its network of "wired" venues for purchase and download only on iTunes. The artists who feature in these recordings include Jesse McCartney, Saving Abel, OK Go, A Fine Frenzy, Duffy, Ziggy Marley, Plain White T's and many more.
