It's not easy satisfying Steve Jobs, and Adobe knows that, as they haven't been able to convince Apple to allow them to provide in browser flash support. Meanwhile, Adobe is set to provide that same support to all other smartphones. Adobe, apparently getting frustrated, wants to make sure you know who's really the hold up.

Point your iPhone or iPod Touch at get.adobe.com/flashplayer and you’ll get this rather snarky message:
“Flash Player not available for your device. Apple restricts use of technologies required by products like Flash Player. Until Apple eliminates these restrictions, Adobe cannot provide Flash Player for the iPhone or iPod.”
Realistically, this will probably make Apple just more stubborn. However, as other smartphone platforms make inroads, these sorts of restrictions on the iPhone (no background processing, no Flash, and lots, lots, more) are going to come back to bite Apple, eventually.
