Notebooks with Intel® Centrino® processor technology are now available with new wireless technology offering faster throughput and better range. Certain WiFi Access Points (APs) are also available with the Draft-N standard of this technology.

802.11 Draft-N APs, when coupled with a notebook based on Intel Centrino processor technology including Intel® Next-Gen Wireless-N, can offer up to 5X throughput¹ and up to 2X the range² over APs with 802.11a/b/g.

Selected access points (PDF 17KB) are all 802.11 Draft-N and undergo a controlled set of tests to evaluate:
